Imaginando que lo pequeño es grande y lo grande es pequeño
Imaginando que lo pequeño es grande y lo grande es pequeño - Exposición múltiple en cámara(sin photoshop), compuesta en esta ocasión por tres imágenes tomadas por separado, a diferentes distancias focales e iluminada con linterna cálida. Lo que he intentado en esta imagen es hacer que lo pequeño parezca grande y viceversa, para ello, la luna redimensiona la escena y reafirma la sensación de noche y la piña quiere simular una cordillera de una montaña donde hay una seta gigante con luz propia que ilumina su entorno.

Seagulls - A huge group of seagulls trying to find some aliment near the place where fishermen are pulling the nets from the sea. A low exposure time give some movement to the seagulls and the flash with an ultra wide angle was enough to light just the seagull in the foreground.

El Camaleón y la Vía Láctea. - Hace tiempo que quería realizar esta fotografía y este verano no dejé escapar la oportunidad, la hice en el Parque Regional de Calblanque (Región de Murcia), donde hay una importante población de estos reptiles. Fotografía realizada con la técnica de doble enfoque y doble diafragma en una sola exposición.

Archer versus Moon - Esta foto la tenía en mente hace tiempo así que aproveché la súper luna de noviembre, es del día después debido a las nubes por eso se ve llena al 98%. El arquero es un amigo que estaba a 457 metros para dar este efecto. La planifiqué con Photopills tanto para la localización como el tamaño de la luna.

Van Helsing
Van Helsing - Esta toma ha sido realizada en la capilla de San Cosme de Irixoa (A Coruña). El equipo utilizado ha sido un cuerpo Nikon D7100 con lente Samyang 14mm f2.8, un filtro ND Hitech de 7 pasos, un foco led Yongnuo YN160III, dos linternas minimaglite, una antorcha de kevlar y una cuerda de kevlar. Lo primero que hicimos fue colocar el foco led para dar luz a la fachada principal de la capilla con sus leds fríos sin contaminar al modelo. Decidimos utilizar un balance de blancos de 5000K para conseguir unos tonos blancos en la fachada principal de la capilla pero en el cielo y en lo que ilumináramos con las minimaglite tendríamos unos tonos cálidos para potenciar el dramatismo de la escena. Disparamos en modo bulb a f22 e ISO de 1600 con el filtro ND delante del objetivo y pintamos con la antorcha de kevlar la línea desde la mano del modelo hasta la puerta de la capilla y con la cuerda de kevlar pintamos la entrada de la capilla. Apagamos la cuerda y la antorcha para retirar el filtro ND y cambiar el diafragma manualmente a f2.8 y exponer 30 segundos más. Durante esos 30 segundos la escena cogería luz ambiente (antes la cámara solo pudo captar el fuego) y nosotros cogimos las minimaglite para iluminar al modelo, dar un ligero toque a la fachada de la capilla que quedaba en sombra para levantar los negros, al césped y a la copa del árbol. El tiempo de exposición final fue de 102 segundos.

Who is Mario Rubio?

Mario Rubio is mainly engaged in the disclosure of night photography by articles in dozens of digital and print media. It also teaches multiple masterclass throughout the entire Spanish territory and in other countries.

Trainer of trainers and with a strong presence in social networks share their knowledge with all guild mates.

Terms and Conditions

These contest rules are an expansion of the Fomunity Terms and Conditions of Use. If there is any contradiction between them, the terms and conditions defined in these rules have precedence.

Taking part in this contest implies that you accept the Fomunity Terms and Conditions of Use, all of the contest rules and regulations, and any reasonable changes introduced by Fomunity.

Competitors

This contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers who are over 18.

Subject

Night photography in all its varieties: landscape, astrophotography, urban, dioramas, espeleo photography and light painting outdoors or study, etc ... will be accepted as long as they maintain the essence of night photography.

Works

Each competitor can submit as many photographs as he/she want, and to which they must hold the intellectual property rights.

It is not necessary that the photographs are unpublished, and may have been taken at any time or awarded in other contests.

The photographs must be at least 2 000 pixels and no more than 10 000 pixels, in JPG (JPEG) format, and can be no larger than 10 MB.

The works will be at all times the property of their authors. Mario Rubio - Fotógrafo Nocturno will not use for any other purpose than show winners in their usual media.

Basic digital processing like white balance, levels, contrast, saturation, focus,... will be accepted. The jury will decide whether or not the photo meets these requirements.

The authors of the photographs they reach the final stage of the discussions may be asked, if necessary, by any means, explanations about the image that the jury deems appropriate, including the RAW files.

Startrails may be submitted (image stacking). In this case the jury may request the JPGs sequence.

Double exposures may be submitted if the result is a single RAW.

The Olympus Livecomposite mode will be accepted because the result is a single RAW.

Panoramic photos will be accepted and the author may be asked for the RAW or JPG forming the final file.

Blending of different images will be accepted as long as these are not processed individually and form part of the final photograph. The jury may request all photos used to check.

Winners and finalists grant Mario Rubio - Fotógrafo Nocturno the non-exclusive rights to publish the winning and finalist entries. These rights are limited to publication on the Mario Rubio - Fotógrafo Nocturno website, blog, social networks and magazine for the purpose of publishing the contest results, and to promote new competitions.

Only photographs submitted via the contest page: https://fomunity.com/contest/fotografonocturno2016 will be accepted.

The contest entry fee is €5, for each photograph submitted. This fee will be charged when each photograph is submitted.

To help jury impartiality, the authors of each photograph will not be displayed until the jury has made its decision.

You can submit photographs from August 1, 2016 at 00:00 until November 30, 2016 at 23:59.

The jury's decision will be published after a few days and will be available on both the contest webpage, the fotografonocturno.com webpage and all their social networks.

Fomunity uses Central European Time, and adjusts to Central European Summer Time in season.

Each competitor will only be able to win one prize, regardless of the number of photographs they enter for this contest.

Each company will be responsible for sending the prize to the winners as long as they are in Spain exempting Mario Rubio - Fotógrafo Nocturno of any responsibility for this task except for the prize awarded by himself.

If any of the winners reside outside Spain, the shipping costs will be the resposibility of the winner. If the winner decline this option, the organization will decide how to proceed with the award and may leave desert if necessary or making another action.

Comments

Works that infringe people's dignity or human rights will not be accepted.

Works featuring any over-texts, watermarks or any frame or indication of the author's identity (in the photograph, title or description) will not be eligible for a prize. The jury will reject any photograph that fails to comply with these rules.

Competitors are liable for any image rights or civil liability suits.

Fomunity reserves the right to remove any photograph from the contest if the jury or the Fomunity team considers that the photograph does not fit the proposed theme, without prior notice or notification to the participant.

Any situation not covered by these rules will be decided by the jury and the Fomunity team.

The organization has the ability to modify these rules without notice in the benefit of the quality, transparency and professionalism of the competition.

The name, email and zip code of the participants will be transferred to Fujifilm, which will use this data to make commercial communications.

Care of nature

This contest backs both purist photographs and the care of nature and, for this reason, special attention will be taken to the new ethical Decalogue of AEFONA.
